Given 2006-12-18

Vermeer portrayed women at work, and these were the women I thought of when I saw this beautiful photo - praha-marionety01 I am an absolute lover of 3200 film with its warmth and grain. Also, the way that the light source (the sewing machine's light) allows the woman's hands to glow reminds me of the contained candlelight of the paintings of the old masters. The hands, the sewing machine, and the woman's arms are so beautiful in this photo. I would love to see ~schultz0's real hand printed photos. this will always happen. offline and online. a fact of the art community. those who make the most friends get the most press. whether that press is worth reading is another story.

no worries. i find comfort in my passion for photography, printing, so showing work is really secondary to that. validation for me happens in staying productive, though i do enjoy critiques as much as anyone else.

It was indeed both quiet and private. The back of a small marionette shop just off of Karlov Most (on lesser town bank), Praha.
