location: first unitarian church sanctuary. phila, pa.

so, christoph and i went to see Múm (www.randomsummer.com) live on the 23rd of july. it was a concert experience that will be extremely tough to rival for me. they have such a pure sound..

this shot was taken from under the speaker stand where they had one of their keyboards and a laptop setup. i am grateful to have been able to capture this shot of the band as they thanked the crowd after their last song. (edit: thanks to *junglechink for pointing out my misspelling of "crowd". and, for sake of furthering vocabulary, a croud is the earliest known form of what we call a violin ;])

from the left you can first barely make out Ólöf Donalds, then you see Gunnar Örn Tynes leaning to the mic, followed by Övar Smárason who is looking at Kristin Valtýsdóttir and finally the percussionist Samuli Kosminen to the far right. I met Övar and Samuli after the show, and they kindly signed my Summer Make Good book/cd release. they are good people.

you spelled crowd wrong.

but I really appreciate your work.

Wow this is really awesome! You've almost inspired me to get off my lazy ass and build my own dark room.... :D Someday... in the meantime i'll just keep enjoying your work. Something about this just really sets me in the "mood". I thinks its a combination of the lighting (perfectly backlit) and also the pure candid nature of the photo, its an awesome moment!
:iconschultz0:
you should! darkrooms are liberating..they induce zen like states! :]

i appreciate you taking time out to tell me your thoughts on my print, i really appreciate it!
:iconschultz0:
this has been duely noted in the description.

i have always appreciated your comments, jungle, regardless of their seeming irrelevance at times ;]
